Another Ending

In January 2020 I decided that I was no longer going to blog. A few weeks later, finding that I missed doing so, I began again. But the time has come when I feel it’s become a chore rather than a pleasure. The past year has brought many changes – there have been those which I have hated, but enjoying a slower pace of life has been an unexpected bonus. I’ve terminated my membership of a couple of groups to which I belonged and anticipate spending more time just taking the days as they come rather than having my whole month planned out before me.

Thank you so much to all readers for your interest over the past four years. I hope each of will stay safe. To those whose blogs I read, I will still enjoy dipping in and out and look forward to catching up with you.

As of 16th April, thisissixty will no longer be active.

Kindest regards,

Eloise

  1. So sorry to hear you won’t be blogging anymore as I enjoy reading your posts but, like you say, if it has become a chore, the time is absolutely right to step away from it. You never know, you may start a new blog in the future with news of publication! I’ll be eagerly awaiting that day.

  2. I have really enjoyed reading your blog Eloise. I think many of us have found things to embrace from this enforced period of quieter life – a benefit from an otherwise difficult time. Thanks for writing and enjoy your slower pace.

  3. I hope you know how much I enjoy reading your blog and how much I will miss your posts. However, what is the point of blogging if doesn’t give you pleasure and has become a bit of a chore? Stay safe and take care and maybe I’ll be reading one of your books in the future. June x
